Hello everyone! Just wanted to get on and talk about the last couple months. XP

Since June 1st I’ve been applying to at least 2 jobs a day (good god some of the applications took 2-4 hours to fill out). I finally have some good news – I’ve been offered 2 jobs and I have an interview tomorrow for a third!

I went to a day of training at a coffee shop – which was kind of upsetting as I have a Bachelor’s degree. I know a BA isn’t all that much but I thought it would keep me from being a barista. XP I was just called this morning about the job I really wanted at the Library. They said they wanted me! I do have to wait for my references to get back to them now which should be a couple days. So I don’t quite have it yet – hopefully I’ll get it! Nothing should keep me from the job I want now.

I also have a job interview at the college I graduated from! I want to interview just in case the other doesn’t work out. I am one of their top candidates so I am very happy. It’s also a job I would be happy to perform!

But… for over a month I have been jobless. I haven’t really worked on anything either. Every time I tried I sort of felt guilty because time I was spending writing and drawing could have been spent looking for work, cleaning or cooking. I did have a little time to relax of course but I didn’t want to be a lump while my husband was working hard in the sun and we are staying at a relative’s house.

It’s been sort of nerve wracking living here. It’s nice having no rent when both you and your husband have both had job crisis… but it’s a pain too because it’s not like it matters if you don’t have rent anyway – because without the other one working it’s not like you can save or anything. Plus I hate living with either of our family’s at our age – it feels shameful. It’s just been necessary.

It’s also maddening because the person we are living with believes we actually WANT to be here for the free rent. Like we’re not trying to leave or something. We’ve tried giving her money (we have some extra) but she won’t take it… but she likes to bring up that we don’t help financially which is annoying. If I had a job once my other job ended we would have been out of here in May and June at the latest. I definitely don’t like feeling like a mooch and I never wanted to be one.

Honey and I are going to try to save up a nest egg in case something like this happens again. I don’t want to have to depend on anyone else ever again to rescue us – it’s been pretty awful and terrible for our self esteem. Let my experience be a lesson to anyone who hasn’t escaped the nest yet. Save some money before you move. Have fun, but save money even afterwards. It’s terrible having to crawl back to a parent.

Other than that – the internet was out for about 3-4 weeks. My MIL’s televisions, computer and damned near every appliance were fried in a storm. I was lucky… my computer was safe but it can’t connect to a line but I can still get on wirelessly. But with no computers to connect to the net - the router and modem remained broken. Just this weekend my husband and I got a new wireless router (yay) and got the company to send a new modem. Yays! So now I am on again at least until the end of the month. When my honey and I will be getting our own place!

Wah! Sorry about the long journal I just had a lot happening and not a lot of time to get online other than to apply for positions.

I hope everyone is doing alright – I’ve been thinking about you.

I overhauled Chapter 2 of Someone to Love Me. I think it might have been 5-6 pages (DS) before - now it's 20ish pages (DS). There is a new scene and existing scenes were edited the crud out of.

I'm still working on my next chapter - but it's taking a while. XP

My internet connection is a bit screwed for the past couple weeks unfortunately - so I'm having to update and check my messages at my brothers house. Sorry if it takes me a while to comment/reply - hopefully I catch up soon.

Well I completely overhauled STLM: Chapter 1 today. There is now a prologue that explains a few things about the FFVII world and what sort of place Deepground really is, where it is and who’s who.

I guess what sparked this was when my little brother started reading my story the other day, liked it but he had to ask me a lot of questions about who Restrictor was (since it’s also my screen name I think it threw him off) and also what sort of facility they were staying at. So I decided to do a re-write. After all, maybe someone is a fan of FFVII but they’ve never played Dirge. Or what if they’ve never played the game at all? I’d like it if someone could just come off the net having no knowledge of the story and be able to understand what the heck is going on.

I also made sure to actually mention Restrictor’s name (the name I gave him) a little more frequently during the first chapter so we know who the heck he is by the time the story gets rolling.

Argento and Nero talk more as do the guards that are escorting her. I felt everyone was sort of talking in clipped phrases and really not saying enough where another person could understand them without using telepathy. XP I also wanted to add more movement and detail when they first met.

So there.

The next chapter is coming slow but steady.

I was looking through my gallery and some of my old stuff is making my eyes ache. Stuff where my ukes sort of (really) remind me of girls, pictures where I tried to copy someone else’s manga/anime style, and lastly pictures that are more recent (and I put lots of effort into the base) but I lazed out on the details at the last second because my tablet sucked.

Nah, I am not going to go on a mass deletion spree on anything. I think that’s silly. I’m just going to stuff them in my scraps gallery.

I also want to redo some of my old drawings because I think they are salvageable now that I have more control drawing. I’m thinking once I’m finished updating the image I’ll just rename the old picture and stuff it into the scraps – then save over the old name with the new picture. That way if anyone favorite a picture because they liked the way it looked the first time – that way I won’t be changing the image on them. This will be such a slow process I don’t even know why I am mentioning it now.

I wanted to put them in their complete DG uniforms but it was such a hassle with the graphire that I didn’t. I think it’s really changed the mood of the drawing. O.o

I’m just really excited I suppose! I have so many unfinished drawings and things I want to improve – writing and drawing wise.

I really should work on those some more. T_T
